Awning and Arcadia Project Templates

Problem

A client found he needed to have a formal way of tracking projects done in his service business. When he reviewed his 2014 business data, he noticed he had over 1000 of these services he provided his customers. He decided he needed a schedule where he could track contract award through delivery of his services.

Solution

The client decided to use MS Project 2010 to start tracking his services in 2015. He contacted me for a consultation in using MS Project. I explained how he could track his projects using MS Project, making sure his schedule had scheduling best practices. That way, he could copy the tasks needed, update contract award date, and it would give him a realistic delivery date based on average duration he had noticed for each task during his 10 years in the service business.
